Description
The purpose of this program is to increase student access to evidence-based support services and mental health care by developing innovative initiatives, activities, and programs to link local school systems with local trauma support and mental health services.
Eligibility
Eligibility is statutorily limited to State Education Agencies (SEAs), including SEAs in the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. outlying areas including American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the United States Virgin Islands; the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau; Local Educational Agencies; Indian Tribes or their Tribal Educational Agencies; a school operated by the Bureau of Indian Education; Regional Corporation; or a Native Hawaiian Educational Organization.

Anticipated Total Available Funding: $5,985,928
Anticipated Number of Awards: 6 (at least one award will be made to a tribe or tribal organizations pending adequate application volume.)
Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $970,000 per year
Length of Project: Up to 4 years
Cost Sharing/Match Required?: No
Proposed budgets cannot exceed $970,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards are contingent on the availability of funds, progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, compliance with all terms and conditions of award, and alignment with SAMHSA, HHS, and Trump Administration priorities.
